2017 BRSCC Fiesta Championship title winner Jamie White had the privilege of getting behind the wheel of a current-spec British Touring Car Championship race car, thanks to the prize test put on by championship tyre suppliers Dunlop at the Snetterton circuit in Norfolk.
White was joined on the test by MINI Challenge drivers Reece Barr (JCW Class vice-champion) and Matthew Hammond (Cooper Pro Class champion), who all enjoyed laps in the Motorbase-prepared Ford Focus NGTC touring car prepared by Motorbase and driven during the 2017 season by the likes of Mat Jackson, Luke Davenport and more.
Speaking about his time behind the wheel, White said “The Focus is a phenomenal car to drive, so responsive with great feedback. It’s been such a good experience. In saloon car racing the Dunlop BTCC is the pinnacle and the prize makes you want to race harder to win the test opportunity!”
White will be able to take away some valuable experience ahead of the 2018 season, where he will be bidding to double up on overall and Class D titles. Great job, Jamie!
