FULL HOUSE… 34 ENTRIES  Fiesta BH Entries as 5 April

FRIDAY SIGNING ON … extract from the Finals “All other competitors will sign on in the Paddock Office in the Outer Paddock. In addition to the times allocated in the official timetable, competitors can also sign on on Friday between 16:00 to 19:00 in the Kentagon.”

FRIDAY SCRUTINEERING … extract from the Finals “Scrutineering will also take place in the Scrutineering Bay on Friday between 16:00 and 18:00”

DRIVERS BRIEFING VENUE…. moved to the Mazda Hospitality Centre in the paddock adjacent to where we are parked… saves that walk to the middle and the time involved!  Please come ‘suited and booted’ with your cars waiting with their scrutineering tickets and transponders…. because at the end of the briefing it should be “Start your engines..  and go to assembly.. now!”.

This two day event takes place on the Indy circuit at Brands Hatch on the 8th and 9th of April as part of the BRSCC Season Opener. There will be 1 x 20 min qualifying and 3 x 20 min races during the weekend.  Race 2 grid will be set by race 1 result and race 3 by race 2 result. Max cars per grid = 34  This is a round of the BRSCC Fiesta Championship and cars must fully comply with the championship regulations.

Access to the circuit:  PLEASE note that the Paddock Entrance in Scratchers Lane is ONLY open on the actual race days. People arriving on Thursday or Friday MUST enter via the main entrance adjacent to the Mercure Hotel, but on race days you can not get to the paddock via the front gate and must use the Paddock Entrance….lots more local info here.

Entry on Saturday and Sunday is by e-ticket and these are sent out from BRSCC HQ by email. You shouldn’t need a ticket for entry until Saturday morning

Fiesta parking will be in the main lower paddock (that is the area below the scrutineering bay). Paddock Plan_8_9 April_17_Brands_Hatch.  Paddock parking manager (Stephen Green) will be on duty from Thursday afternoon/evening to assist parking up (parking info/requirements from those teams who have kindly supplied this has been noted – MORE INFO WOULD HELP PLEASE)

Timetable – Timetable – Brands Hatch 8_9_April_2017 – Issue 3

Qualifying/Grid formation.  There will be one combined qualifying for all the classes.  The grid for the race will be the order from qualifying irrespective of class – eg for purpose of forming the race 1 grid, qualifying is in effect without classes – only times create the order. Race 2 grid will be race 1 finishing order and race 3 will be race 2 finishing order.

Trophies and Presentations
Our trophy winners will be invited for a photo opportunity immediately after the race (probably using both the upper and lower podiums). During Saturday afternoon/evening we will host a formal trophy presentation session (details to be confirmed). Having seen the timetable, Saturday really doesn’t lend itself to a formal trophy presentation so …  11.15am Sunday looks like an ideal time, keep it short and we all have a full hour before we have race 3.  Presentation in the awning of Race Car Consultants – thank you David.    In respect of people needinImage may contain: 4 people, people smiling, people standing and outdoorg to leave for their journeys home on Sunday, race 3 presentations will be at the podium with no formal group get together.

Look out for your support team around the paddock.

Scrutineering and Clerk of Course.
Welcome to our new championship scrutineer, Kevin Lewis and our regular Clerk of Course will be Paul Belcher.

TV
The event will be filmed for later broadcast – more info to follow.   Footage will be filmed and edited by AJK TV who produced BRSCC highlight packages of the Rockingham and Brands Hatch rounds last season – these are still available on the BRSCC YouTube Channel.  Broadcast times to follow.

Code 60 flag rules will be available to our Clerk of Course  code 60

 

Decals… looks like decals will have to wait and be handed out at Brands (sorry).. should be able to deliver on Thursday, Friday & Saturday.  More details here
